I think it's the first time in my series of comparisons where a CPU had this clear of a performance lead. AMD's EPYC Turin is simply a tier above anything else. AWS has the fastest setup with that CPU, while GCP’s more expensive C4d seems to vary a lot in performance when their own, cheaper N4d gave more consistent results. Overall, if you are looking for maximum performance per thread, EPYC Turin seems to be the answer if your cloud provider has it.
Let’s now imagine that the station is depressurized and, for the first time in decades, empty, operated entirely via computers and remote control. First, NASA and its partners must accept the need to deorbit—there’s no going back to save the ISS. This could be complicated: 23 countries in the European Space Agency, as well as Japan and Canada, are involved in the ISS partnership. And then there’s Russia. The Russians have committed to supporting the ISS only until 2028. But they did agree to help NASA in a contingency deorbit situation.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Bourdieu was wrong. Probably things just changed. Why? Well, one conspiracy theory is that it just became too easy for lower-class people to imitate upper-class tastes, so upper-class people moved to higher ground.
